Ding Chuan Tang (Arrest Wheezing Decoction) is a classical Chinese formula from the Yi Fang Ji Jie, traditionally used to clear Phlegm-Heat from the Lungs and help Lung Qi descend.

Transforms Phlegm and clears Heat
Disperses Wind-Cold
 
Traditionally used for:
A cough with thick yellow phlegm
A tight chest and noisy breathing
Symptoms that are worse at night or with exertion
 
Ingredients: Ma Huang (Ephedra), Bai Guo (Ginkgo seed), Sang Bai Pi (mulberry root bark), Huang Qin (Scutellaria), Xing Ren (apricot kernel), Su Zi (Perilla seed), Ban Xia (prepared Pinellia), Kuan Dong Hua (coltsfoot flower), Gan Cao (licorice).
 
How to take: Take with warm water 2 to 3 times a day, as advised by your practitioner.
 
Contains Ma Huang (Ephedra). Not suitable if you have high blood pressure, a heart condition, an overactive thyroid, glaucoma or difficulty passing urine, or during pregnancy. Do not use instead of your prescribed inhalers. If you are very short of breath or your lips turn blue, call 999 or 112.
