Zhi Bai Di Huang Ke Li is a modern granule form of the classical formula Zhi Bai Di Huang Wan (知柏地黄丸), which is a modification of Liu Wei Di Huang Wan (六味地黄丸).

This formula is based on six main herbs from Liu Wei Di Huang Wan —
Shu Di Huang (Rehmannia glutinosa, prepared root)
Shan Zhu Yu (Cornus officinalis, fruit)
Shan Yao (Dioscorea opposita, rhizome)
Fu Ling (Poria cocos, fungus)
Mu Dan Pi (Paeonia suffruticosa, root bark)
Ze Xie (Alisma plantago-aquatica, rhizome)
Plus two heat-clearing additions:
7. Zhi Mu (Anemarrhena asphodeloides, rhizome)
8. Huang Bai (Phellodendron amurense, bark)
Indications (according to TCM theory):
Used for yin deficiency with internal heat, which may present as:
Night sweats
Hot sensations in the palms, soles, or chest
Dry mouth or throat
Dark, scanty urine
Tinnitus
Restlessness or irritability
Traditional Usage:
Commonly applied in TCM for conditions associated with Kidney Yin deficiency with heat signs, such as:
Chronic low-grade fever
Menopausal heat or sweating
Thirst and dry mouth due to yin depletion
