Acupuncture and TCM can help in the treatment of Migraine and headaches by:

  • Reducing inflammation

  • Providing pain relief

  • Reducing electrical waves in the brain associated with migraine

  • Affecting serotonin

  • Modulating intracranial and extra-cranial blood flow.

In Chinese Medicine the head is covered by 8 separate meridians (energy channels). Meridian channels can travel the length of the body. A migraine can can lodge itself in any one or more of these. Skilled practitioners will know exactly which meridian or meridians are involved which is key when finding the source of the pain and getting rid of it.
