TCM For Pain

HEAL YOUR PAIN WITH NATURAL ENERGY

Pain is a prevalent problem that troubles people of all ages. Large randomized controlled trials and meta-analyses have strongly verified the effectiveness of acupuncture for pain management.

Qi (energy) is the central underlying principle in acupuncture and other TCM techniques. TCM practitioner use treatments to access qi which flows through acupuncture points mapped along meridians (energy channels) on the body. Stimulating, manipulating, and utilizing the flow of this energy facilitates our body's complex system of self-healing.

OUR METHOD FOR HEALING PAIN

Acupuncture / Acupressure / Cupping / Herbal Medicine

Acupuncture

Acupuncture

During the acupuncture treatment, the practitioner places fine needles in specific acupuncture points. The treatment will stimulate the nervous system to release natural chemicals in the muscles, spinal cord, and brain. These natural chemicals can either change the experience of pain or trigger the release of other chemicals and hormones that influence the body's own internal regulating system. The treatment can bring about a normalizing effect on neuroendocrine (nerve and hormone) function. The improved energy and biochemical balance produced by acupuncture result in stimulating the body's natural healing abilities, thus promoting physical and emotional well-being.

Acupressure

Our treatment always combines acupuncture and acupressure (Chinese therapeutic massage) to achieve the best results for alleviating pain. Acupressure relaxes muscle tissue, which can reduce painful contractions and spasms. It is excellent for people with chronic pain due to a build-up of scar tissue or those with stiff, painful areas in the neck, shoulders, and back. Applying pressure can also relax muscles, tendons, and ligaments, which can reduce nerve compression.

Cupping

Cupping treats pain, ease scar tissue deep within muscles and connective tissues, and reduce swelling and muscle knots. Like many complementary treatments, cupping is supposed to minimize circulating toxins by drawing them into the skin.
